Drawing Pencil

Charcoal

The main raw material of charcoal pen is charcoal powder, charcoal is produced by incomplete combustion of wood, and some charcoal pens are brown with charcoal, generally black. The surface of the charcoal pen is rough and non-reflective, which is more suitable for painting astringent lines. The lines have a strong sense of strength and can rub out different texture effects, so the expressive force of the charcoal pen is very strong.

However, the adhesion of the charcoal pen on the paper is relatively strong, and it is not easy to wipe off with an eraser and should not be modified. Due to the rough surface of the charcoal pen, it is easy to damage the surface of the paper if the force is not well mastered when drawing.

Charcoal from the color is divided into, black, brown. There are hard charcoal pens, medium charcoal pens and soft charcoal pens. The usage of charcoal pens is similar to that of pencils, but it is not as easy to control as pencils. It requires frequent practice and practice makes perfect.
